    If you go to window > Effects & Presets it will bring up your presets and FX or Cntl + 5.

    Or if you are looking for the folder on your harddrive on a PC they can be found for Presets: C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe After Effects CS6Support FilesPresets

    Effects: C:Program FilesAdobeAdobe After Effects CS6Support FilesPlug-ins

    You can also use Adobe Bridge for applying Effects and Presets.

    The advantage is that you can see how a particular effect work without applying it right in the Bridge window.
