“Preparing” Takes too long when rendering?
So, I’m still fairly new to C4d, and for some reason, whenever I try to render a frame, it says “Preparing” at the bottom left corner before rendering. It says this for 50 seconds before it actually starts to render the frame. This is getting really annoying, because it only takes me 12 seconds to render a single frame, but the “Preparing” adds 50 seconds to each frame, thus multiplying my total render time 6 fold. This is completely ridiculous, It is not an issue with the Lightroom I am using either, my friend who has a slower computer than I do does not have this issue. He uses the same Lightroom and same exact render settings, and it does not say “Preparing” for him. It just starts rendering straight away. I know it has something to do with Global Illumination, and he and I both have it enabled, because with it off, this does not happen. Btw I am Using Irradiance Cache (Legacy) because Regular Irradiance and Monte Carlo take way too long. Do I have some settings wrong? Please help ;-;
