Premultiplied Alpha in a Quicktime File
Hi,
I just imported a quicktime that was rendered in an avid premultiplied over black. There doesn’t seem to be anyway to interpret the alpha in Premiere Pro? Obviously I’m getting a bit of black fringe that I don’t want. Is this hidden somewhere, or is it just missing?Mike

Maybe unmult will help, it’s free

Unzip the file to Plug-ins/en_US/AEfilters.
You will find Unmult in Video Effects/Knoll. -
Hi,
Unmult will get rid of black. I have an alpha in the file, I’m looking to interpret it correctly as premultiplied. I can easilly do this in After Effects, but see no way in Premiere.

That’s true and rerendering in AE is not an option?
Maybe PPro CS3 treats alpha same way as AE.
