I have a precomp containing vector animations (swf) that are overlayed with built-in glows + Trapcode Particular effects and combined using blending modes. I’m having issues rendering out a good-looking FLV when fading the precomp in/out by adjusting its opacity.

The comp looks ok in the workspace (on any background), but for some reason my render ends up with glow interference during the actual fade.

If I render out the faded precomp in any format other than FLV, it looks fine.

When I render out the animation out as uncompressed and reimport to re-export as a FLV, I’m having the same issues, even though the fades look ok in the Composition window.

I’m assuming that this occurs because the FLV encoder only embeds alpha channels as premultiplied with black, so the glows somehow end up in the final mix. I want my glows to stay inside my precomp so that I can fade in/out the final “flattened” product.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this just something related to how FLVs get rendered in general?
