I may be moving to a studio that’s working with FCP on Macs, but I’m currently using Premiere on a PC. I’ll be heading up a TV show they are WAY behind on, so I’ll need to get things rolling fast… heres my question. While I’m learning FCP, will it be possible to put together commercials, introductions/etc in Premiere on the PC, save the file as an AVI or MOV and import it into FCP? This would really help in the beginning. If this is possible, which I assume it is, are there any suggestions as far as file format/hints/tips?

    Thanks!

You wil need to purchase a pro version of flipmac. This will be worth every cent as you bridge the gap between the two pieces of software.

Doble check that the http://www.flip4mac.com QT component will play back AVI files but I am quite certain that it will solve your problem for a mere 150 bucks.
