    Hey guys-
Got a doozy here for you. I have a file from a colleage that needs to be converted, except Premiere can see the file but not open it. He said it was a quicktime file.

When I load it on to my PC just out of interest (to test it on Sony Vegas), it shows without an extention. If I add the extension of .MOV Sony Vegas can open it and it shows all 8 channels.

But if I bring the same file then (with .MOV) added back to the mac side, it is then readable by Premiere, but only imports with 4 channels, not 8.

    Any thoughts?

Quicktime will open the original files (with no visible extention) but Premiere will not.

    HELP!

    Thanks in advance!

Bring the file into the project, select the file, right click choose modify / audio channels. Change it to 8 channels / mono and drop it into a sequence.
