Premiere will only let me play from in-point to out-point
I have in and out points set on my source clip, but I would like to jump earlier just to check what’s before my in-point. When I hit the space bar, the payback will only start at my in-point. The only way to play back something from earlier in the clip is to clear the edit points. Is there a way to make it play back anywhere on the clip, regardless of edit points?

Space bar should not play in to out, Enter should.

Agreed. But it’s not doing that right now. Space bar is only going in to out. Another editor was working on my system, so he might have changed something, but I have no way of contacting him. Is there a way to fix it? I feel like it must just be a box that needs to be checked…

Never mind, I figured it out… on the source window, under the WRENCH icon, there’s a setting called LOOP. I unchecked it, and all is well again. Thanks!

Thank you! I started working at a new place and tried to remap over and over again the keyboard (it was mapped correctly in the first place). I didn’t know about that Loop option.
