Premiere to After Effects workflow problem
I was wondering if I was doing anything wrong. I am migrating over from FCP7 to Production Premium CS5.5
In FCP7, when I stabilize footage, I use a plug in, render, done.
In Premiere, I “replace with after effects comp” and then apply the Warp Stabilizer, get great results, etc. Then, when going back to Premiere, I see my stabilized footage but it won’t play back even close to real time. Understandable, I should need to render. But this happens whenever I use dynamic link with any effect- Premiere Pro slows down or stops once it comes to the After Effects compositions.
I must be missing a step, because what is the point of Dynamic link when you have to export from After Effects in a huge animation codec file to get it to play back realtime?
I have OSX, on a quad core i7 2.66, 6gb of RAM, CUDA enabled 9800GT for Mercury Playback.
