I was adding a new clip to an already made movie and the sound stopped working in the preview box part way through the day but I knew the audio was there so I finished working on the project. I had just finished and was going to export it to a dvd and figured that if I restarted the comupter that the sound would come back. I closed everything and restarted without error but when I went to open the file I had just been working on it would load almost all the way and then just freeze and stop responding. It just not the file I was working on either, it will not open most of the files BUT there are some that it will open. Oh and yeah, the sound did come back but now I’ve lost the entire movie because it will not open. The autosave was not on and there was not a restore point set on the computer.

    PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
    thanks

There are two things to try first:
    1. Create a new project and import the problem project into it.
    2. If that does not work then rename the folder that has your source clips in it, effectively hiding the clips from PPro. Now when you open the project PPro will ask you where the clips are, click on “offline all”. Does the project load?

    Cheers

Yes, I tried importing the project in and it also freezes up, but I will try renaming the source file.

    Thank you so much
