  Premiere sluggish/unstable after upgrade

  I want to start by saying I’m glad I set up a dual boot XP CS2 & Vista64 CS4. When it’s not locking up, the response time on the interface is very slow. To move from 1 clip to another on timeline takes 5 seconds for viewers to update. Viewers picture quality is slightly pixelated, NTSC output is fine. Sometimes single layer timelines need renderring. Scrolling thru project panel has a 1 sec delay.

  I tried changing video card to Radeon 4850 512mb, same result.
  I do have 2 warnings in device manger under Other Devices:
  Multimedia Controller & Video Controller. I thought this was because I’ve left in the x.effects card to work with XP CS2.

  Should I reinstall Matrox drivers?
