The thing that’s making me angry about this is that the video services department also had their Cs4 Premieres freezing for no apparent reason, and now it’s somehow happening to my laptop. The freeze doesn’t occur the same way, but Premiere refuses to render the work area despite how many times I click on it, or wait for it, and occasionally the preview window just glitches and displays my background.

I know I’m gonna get some people telling me to update my video card or something stupid like that, but I haven’t installed or uninstalled ANYTHING in the past week…or two weeks for that matter.

All this to a amateur and the professionals simultaneously…just as cs5 comes out…pretty fishy to me, but probably just coincidence.

I have no programs running, rebooted several times, etc, nothin’.

    Hope somebody can help.
    Thanks,
    Hunter

If it helps I got a Premiere Pro Debug Event just a few seconds ago:

Actually, disregard this post. Turns out Premiere doesn’t work too well when display settings are automatically set to 16bit for some reason. 🙂 Switched it back to 32bit and everything’s fine.
