Premiere “Project Manager” missing RED files
Hey all, I’m using Premiere through Adobe CC – and I took a project with me on the road – I used project manager to grab all my footage, but I’m just now discovering that some of my R3D files are broken up into 3 or 4 R3D subclips and Project Manager seems to only have grabbed the first of the 3 portions of the clip.
This sucks super hard, now that I’m on the road – I can’t finish the project I was working on now because I’m missing footage. How do I prevent this in the future. Is there a step by step guide to make sure that my “project manager” exports contain EVERYTHING?
I would also really love to know how to insure this doesn’t happen with AE as well – as I’ve apparently been burned with that as well. Using “Project Manager” on a sequence with nested AE sequences won’t include the files for the nested AE sequence – I have to open AE and “collect files” to make sure those come along as well.
But, the “collect files” for AE induces the same issue with not all of the 3D connected files coming along for the ride.
FCP’s media manager was pretty flawless – I’m really missing it right now. If ADOBE is going to connect all its products through Bridge and recommend using this type of interactivity, they should also ensure that this type of problem doesn’t happen.
Unless this is my bad and I’m doing something wrong here…
I’m on a mac running Mountain Lion.
Thanks – Mike
