    Premiere Pro to Encore freeze problem

    Hi, all —

    I’ve tried searching the posts and didn’t find anything on this, but maybe I’m not searching well. Anyway, here’s my problem.

    I’ve edited a sequence in Premiere Pro 1.5. I render it out, and everything plays back groovy from Premiere, and the AVI plays fine in Windows Media Player.

    Then, I author a DVD with Encore. When I preview the DVD, I find that after a Premiere title plays, the playback freezes for a second or so, and then starts back up. Audio is not affected; it’s only the video that freezes. And when the video picks back up, it’s still in synch with the audio.

    Thinking it might just be a problem in the DVD previewer, I’ve burned a DVD of the project. It does exactly the same thing that it did in the previewer.

    Any suggestions?

    Dex,

    I noticed that you have probably found the solution in this thread. 🙂 “Optimize Stills” is a setting that Adobe should have removed from Premiere years ago!
