Premiere Pro: SD media in a HD timeline
Hi All,
I like to seek your advice on the following.
We have a customer who requested for an on-site evaluation for Xena LH. We got a BOXX+Xena LH system there now.1 application is to mix SD media with HD media, in a HD timeline, in Premiere Pro 2.0.
The SD media is PAL, and the HD media is 1080/25P or 50i.
The customer is looking at blowing up the SD media, to match the size & aspect ratio of the HD media.
Wonder if you have experience with the above?I tested the above & rendered the SD media. The rendered media looks really bad, interlacing & motion is slow.
Applied the anti-flicker filter & field interpolate (under the clip settings), onto the media & doesnt help much. The customer told me another video card system he tested, is able to achieve the above, without all the motion artifacts.
So he feel that its not Premiere Pro 2.0 causing the problem. As I’m not familiar with Premiere Pro, hope you can share any experience you have.
Thanks again!Cheers,
Ben Cheng
