December 12, 2012 at 3:46 amThat’s nice. Well. What can I say. You have bigger ram and a nice big raid all in one. Life sucks. Hang me from the rafters.

That’s not what I’m saying at all. I’m just saying the bigger config is possible even with the iMac. It’ll be able to handle your project better IF you can get the larger config. With the config you currently have running, I’m afraid you’re going to continue to run into problems that are more due to your system than Premiere Pro itself.
BTW 16GB RAM is all Apple recommends, but OWC sells 32GB RAM kits for the iMac that make a huge difference in performance.
Just trying to be helpful as you have a VERY large project and I’m afraid your system is not well set up to handle it.

December 12, 2012 at 3:51 amI’m joking.
Can you give me a rough idea of what a 48 gb drive is worth?

It’s significantly less than what we paid at the end of last year I know that. Email them and ask is my best suggestion.
