    Hi everyone !

I’ve ran into an issue on Premiere pro.
I’ve been editing a video for a company, and we’re 2 working on this project.
I’ve done my editing and send the project to my colleague so he can tweak it a bit more.

We both have all the footage on our hard drives.
When he opened the project on his computer, all the media was unlinked. So that’s pretty normal..but when he tried linking the files, Premiere pro counldn’t recognize the footage, said the files were damaged and there were no audio or video stream on the files he selected.

The irony is, when he imported some of the footage, to see if it was working, there were no problems.
So basically, he hasto do all the work back from scratch.

Any idea of what’s causing this mess?
I’m coming to you since I couldn’t find the answer around the interwebs 🙁

    Thank you !
    Best,
    Luc.

    Hi Luc,

I could be that you are working on different versions of Premiere, or may be a codec is missing or different which still allow import.

Are you both on the same OS? What type of footage are we talking about?

Hi Vince, thank sfor your answer !

    We’re actually workin on the same version..At least I think but i’ll double-check !
We’re talking about regular DSLR quicktime format, it was shot on the Canon 7D.

    Thank you,
    Luc.
