Hello all, I do not have the proper hardware currently to import DVD video from a DV rack or something, so I am using DVD Fab to get the whole video file then take the portions of these videos that I need. The video is supposed to be a highlight reel of football plays for a HS Football player, so I am taking the entire game. I can play it locally from Windows Media Player or another media player, but in Premiere it does one of several things. It will either be a blue screen for the duration of the clip, stay black, or play the entire game in fast motion in about 3 minutes (of a 40 minute game) and then the remaining 37 minutes will be blue. The CTI can play through and seek and so on, but the video simply isn’t working. If i render it won’t work either.

    My specs:

    intel Core i7 950
    12 GB DDR3
    Quadro FX 3800
    Vista Business 64 bit

Any help asap would be immensely appreciated. Thanks!!!

With a DVD, simply copy it to your hard drive . . then change the file extension to .mpg . . then import it into Premiere.

I have done this, and it works.
