Hey guys, long time PP user but lately ran into a problem that is driving me a lil’ crazy and I can’t seem to find any solutions. Searched online and to no prevail.

The insert function is not working at all. I’m using the source monitor, selecting my In and Out’s and pressing the F9 key (I work on FCP7 shortcuts) to drop it into the sequence however it’s not working. I tried reassigning the key – didn’t help, tried restarting the computer – didn’t help, changed the shortcuts to Premiere Pro short cuts – didn’t work. Disabled the mac Function key to see if that would work – didn’t work. Can’t think of anything else, it’s like the program has decided to disable the insert function.

Just seeing if anyone else has run into this problem? It’s just really annoying that I have to manually drag each in and out into the timeline.

    Cheers

You need to target the tracks, say V1 and A1, for the Insert keyboard shortcut to work.
