  Premiere Pro having issues editing with MXF (exports to black)

  Hello everyone,

  I’m having an issue running my Premiere Pro with MXF files. I’m using files off of a HD, connected by USB. When using Media Browser to import MXF, it takes about an hour or two to pull it in there. Once it’s finally there, I edit it down(mind you, having a black screen as the preview). Then when I export it out, it comes out as a mpeg-2. About the first third of this video works just fine, synced and all. Then it seems to just cut off and go black for about 20 minutes. The final ten minutes comes back in and works fine. While the video is black, audio is still running. Is there an error somewhere in these steps? Should it be taking several hours to do one single video?
