    Hi.

Anybody know if there is a way for premiere pro EDL’s to include more metadata? Is there a plugin for this possibly?

I have lots of archival footage in my projects, that needs to be tracked on a number of levels. So far we’ve been using EDL’s, but I would like my EDL exports to include more metadata (such as scene descriptions or log notes). I was hoping there was a way to export more than just source name, clip name, and timecodes. But in a LIST FORMAT like EDL.

    Thanks so much!

    Howard.

Sorry, but EDL formats are all decades old. And were VERY basic, meant for tape to tape systems, and only carried rudimentary information. XMLs are the newer form of data you can export. But yeah, they don’t look like EDLs.

I use software called SEQUENCE CLIP REPORTER from intelligentassistance.com to make these into an Excel list. Best piece of software for this in existence. (if not only piece in existence, but it is amazing). Check it out…
