I just went to open a pp project that I’ve been working on for days and an error message came up that said “cannot open project due to outdated media or corrupt media” WHAT?! Trying to open the auto saves did not work either.

Has anyone ever gotten this? And do I have to redo the entire project?

Start a new project, import the corrupted project into the new project. Fixes most errors with randomly corrupted Premiere projects.

I’m having the same issue. Tried importing into new proj and got the same message. I’m reallly stuck here.
The only issue I can see is that my projects are saved to Dropbox, and maybe there’s an issue with synching.

Any other tips on how to fix a damaged PP Proj?

Yes I’ve just experienced the same problem too. Project file unrecoverable & unimportable as are its sequences. XML time? I counted over 230,000 lines of code to go through in my 18.6mb project! Cool…

Same thing happened to me too.

I lucked out by finding a decent autosave file that wasn’t too out of date.

That would be my first step.

Importing a sequence has also worked for me.
