Todd, there seems to be a bug with the installer. After downloading and almost completing the installation a graphic pops up which says…

Please close the following apps to continue.
    AdobeCrashDaemon.

But no such program is running on my Mac.

I closed Bridge which is where I checked for and updated the CS6 apps. That seemed to do the trick eventually.

Thanks, Tom. In such a case, closing all applications—including Bridge—and waiting a moment before resuming the update should work.

Exactly what I did, eventually. It did throw me at first though.

I’m having issues with the updates as well. All the applications are closed and it seems to be stuck on ‘Currently Downloading’ except nothing is downloading. It is doing this on two computers. One computer has the beach ball and the other doesn’t but they are both hung up.

I have downloaded and installed update, and now all of my media files are having their .pek files regenerated, and it’s taking quite a while to load up all of my media. I have the “automatic peak file generation” on, and it’s my understanding that this shouldn’t change anything about the way pek files are handled. Why are all of my visual waveforms gone, the .pek filed being re-generated (as seen by date and time stamp on .pek files in media cache) and my media re-loading very slowly?

The updates will be available through a direct download (not through AAM, aka Adobe Application Manager) soon. If you’re having trouble with the AAM download, then try the direct, manual download. I’ll update my posts about the individual updates with information about the direct downloads when they’re available. It’ll probably be this morning.

Ryan, if you start a new thread about the .pek file problem, it’ll be easier for me to direct the right folks to it and focus on the issue.

Please give details about the footage for which this reconforming is occurring.
