    Hi there,

I am currently trying to switch over from fcp to premiere and doing some tests. It appears that none of my quicktime movie files will playback in both the viewer and the canvas of premiere. It is a fairly new quad core mac pro so shouldn’t think it is a hardware issue. At the moment it plays a second of the clip and then stops. Any ideas?

What codec are your QT files?
PPro will not be able to play some FCP files. You may need to convert to another codec, but more info is needed to say for sure.
