Does anyone have any positive/negative comments on the Premiere Pro CS5 Mercury Playback Engine?

The software isn’t out yet but I can’t really say there is anything negative about the Mercury Playback Engine. I mean, it allows realtime performance. There’s no way that could be bad! =)

Adobe Mercury Playback Engine is fantastic in software mode and when you add any certified graphic card it so unbelievable great when you enable GPU Accelleration.

For example, i have a 6 minutes and 40 seconds long 720p50 AVCHD Timeline with Three Way CC on all clips. With GPU Accelleration enabled that Timeline renders out to MPEG2-DVD highest quality in only 1 minute and 36 seconds. (I see slightly longer render times with interlaced 1920×1080 AVCHD, but way faster than software render alone.)
