Just got my new upgrade to Premiere Pro CS5 and discovered that Smartsounds won’t work with the new software (64 bit thingy).

How’s this for a work around?

I still have CS3 on another machine where all of my Smartsound library is loaded. Since I have to set the length of the track anyway when I choose my music, could I just edit that selection in CS3 to the length I want it, save it to a thumb drive as a .wav file, and then import it into my CS5 project to be placed on the timeline in the appropriate place?

Will this work? Is there any other way to use my very expensive library of SmartSound Quick Tracks in CS5?

    Hi Marcus,

That sounds like a lot of work. The best option would be exporting your final edit and importing that video into SonicFire?

Actually I’ve never used sonic fire. I am editing in full HD for blue-ray and don’t know anything about Sonic Fire. Will it support all of my old Smartsounds Quicktracks?

Yes, SonicFire is Smartsound’s full editor, minus the Premiere integration.

But you can import videos into the application and match your music there.
