  • Premiere Pro CS4 – “Display Exact Filename” not working

Hi, I just installed Premiere Pro CS4 (along with the rest of the Production Suite) and am trying to open a CS3 file to edit. CS4 prompts you to enter a new file name, then creates an updated version of your project.

For some reason it can’t files for the project (even though they’re in the same location) without your help, and you have to locate each file. That’s not so bad, but here’s the problem: When I select the “Display only exact name matches” radio button at the bottom of the import window, nothing changes. All files are still shown, not just the file it’s asking for. This worked great in previous versions, is this a problem with my software, or a bug in the program? Thanks, Donovan

“display only exact name matches” works for me on XP 32-bit but not on Win7 64-bit.

Umm. Yep. That’s a bug. It’s a known issue. Thankfully cs4 can follow file infrastructure so finding 1 item in a group will point the system to all files associated with that folder location.
