    Hey,

I can’t seem to find an answer anywhere to this question.

I am capturing HD footage from my Sony FX-1 into premiere pro cs4 via firewire. (in MPEG format)

Once captured, the audio playback is completely out of sync and sometimes even missing for part of the clip.

When viewing the video clips in any non-adobe player such as VLC, the playback in fine and in sync.

I have tried deleting the adobe conformed files to force it to re-conform, I have tried importing into another project, and it is always out of sync.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I need to fix this problem now! Thanks

    Rob

One of the things that will screw up a Ppro HDV capture is a GOP drop, it can mess up audio sync from a few frames to a GOP or two, if you have problems with a whole tape you may have a drop in the begining, if it goes out of sync down the line you may have to scrub through the timeline to find the point where the drop happens

I’m having this same problem, I even tried capturing in HDVSplit, even captures from there are out of sync in premiere cs4, there fine in vlc.

I thought HDVSPlit was meant to fix this problem?

Anyone have any other info on this matter, or maybe I just have to manually resync every so often.
