  • Premiere Pro CS3 on Mac – AUDIO DELAY

    Hello all,

I got little problem on my iMac, using Premiere CS3, first time i used to capture, it has AUDIO DELAY arround 3secs 14frames. Then i checked the setting on PC, it has exactly the same setting [Pre-roll time 2sec] etc. but then I tried again to capture, the delay still there.

Does anyone could help me on this? just wondering is that so Premiere on Mac? or if there might be some software problems or my errors? thank you.

Make sure you’re listening to the audio thru your computer speakers and not thru your external audio device. This is in the Project Settings option.

You should only use your external audio device for audio if you’re ALSO using the external DV device for video. If you don’t, there will be a substantial audio delay.

Thanks for your response James, but I still have the problem, what I’ve got here is while placing the clips to the timeline, it has delay the video and the audio is not match, so I need to move the audio 3 sec and 14 frames ahead so then the audio will be sync…. any solution?

Was there ever a solution for this problem? I’m also having sync problems when I capture from my Panasonic PV-GS500.. into Adobe Premiere Pro CS3. Any help is appreciated. I’ll try a new thread as well.
