    All the last generations of drivers give a red line (needs render) on Premiere timeline.
    Premiere CS2 worked fine however.
    We have two machines with same hardware conf and no print to tape without rendering. Not mjpg, not uncompressed 8-bit, nothing.
    Though if its captured by Premiere in the first place, then its fine.
    Render out from AE to mjpg = red line in Premiere (mjpg project)
    Render out from Premiere and re-import = red line

    (rendering previews or going back to CS2 is not an option)

    why don’t you try rendering in BlackMagic codec …avi or mov works fine with me

    it is a blackmagic mjpg codec.

    PP3 needs to render ALL kinds of files… except the .avi files captured by PP3 or exported from PP3…
    the thing is that in your case even the files exported from PP3 request rendering, well i guess (just guessing) that the export settings are different (even slightly) from the project settings…
