    hi,

    hope someone can help.

my premire pro cs3 keeps crashing especially after i use an colour effect or manuel sound reducer/increaser.

the device manager at the time says the program is using over 80 per cent physical memory.

    my stats are: athlon 64 x2 3800+ 2.00 ghz
    2046 mb
    vista 32 bit

premiere pro seems to use 700000k qhich seems a massive lot

    can anyone help
do i need a greater memory store?
btw i have defraged in the last to no avail.

Yes, you will likely need more RAM. I would also recommend that you upgrade to Win 7 64, as it will not only use less RAM than Vista to run, but will also allow you to use more than 3 Gigs of RAM, which is all you can use in the 32 Bit version of Vista.

For Premiere CS3, 4 to 6 Gigs of RAM should be the bare minimum.
