Hi everyone. This is my first post, although I have used the site for years for its excellent tutorials on EVERYTHING!

My question is this: does anyone else have a similiar problem with Premiere Pro CS3 crashing on the OS X platform? I have a brand new Macbook with 4 gigs of ram and Premiere crashes all of the time. This happens usually around an effect, such as when i drag and drop a dissolve onto a clip in the timeline, or after i have applied some keyframes and i am previewing them. The interesting part is often times the preview will stop working altogether and then a crash will happen 1 to 2 minutes after that. I can still move the curser around, access menus etc but the preview is blank and it is an imminent sign that the crash will happen in a just a minute or two. Sometimes I can go an hour without a crash and sometimes it will happen after my first action of the day. This DOES NOT happen in After Effects, SoundBooth or any other software.

    Thanks for any help!

First, make sure you’re running with the latest update – 3.2. Also, you might check over on the Adobe PPro CS3 User Forum – I know there were some Mac users having problems, and they did find some help – not sure if it’ll work for you, but it may.
