I have an issue working with Premiere Pro 2019/20. It was working very well on my new computer until some upgrades. Recently I have added 8GB RAM to my laptop and started working with Sony A7iii, clips in 4K. Performance is still very good, previews work well at full resolution but when I swap between premiere and google chrome premiere just disappears. No crash report, no freeze, no Windows errors – it just turns off without saving the project or anything. It happens at one out of five swaps. I tried updating 2019 to 2020, didn’t work. Please let me know if you have some resolution for this issue, because it’s very annoying.

Im working on Lenovo Legion Y530

    Windows 10 64bit

    Intel Core i7

8GB basic ram + 8GB additional (same timing)

    GeForce 1050Ti

I wonder if it has to do with your RAM. That is a low amount of RAM for working with 4k material. Might be taxing the system way to much in page files. And then if Chrome has a great deal of cached pages/files, it could be too much. How much space do you have on your system drive and media drive? Where are you storing your media and cache files?
