“Show Clip Mismatch Warning dialog” is checked in general preferences, but when I add a 29.97 standard definition clip to an empty 1080p 23.98 sequence, I do not get a dialogue box asking me to change my sequence to match the clip. The clip merely drops in with black all around it and a yellow line above the clip in the timeline.

    Hi Jeff,

I haven’t been able to reproduce in the latest version of Premiere (2014.1). Have you tried clearing your preferences? You can do this by holding down the Option key while Premiere is launching.

Can you please tell me how you created your setup described in your post? How did you create the 24fps sequence etc…

    Thanks,

Right Click in bin, New Item, Sequence, Choose XDCAM EX 1080p24 (HQ) preset, OK, Drag SD 2997 Clip from bin to new sequence.

Cleared my preferences by holding the option key when starting up Premiere, but that made no difference.
