Premiere Pro CC: importing Keyboard Layout?

Hi Bob,

In order to access your keyboard shortcuts from Premiere Pro CS6 to Premiere Pro CC do the following steps:

For Windows:

Copy your .kys file from
C:Users[username]AppDataRoamingAdobePremiere Pro6.0

and paste to
C:Users[username]DocumentsAdobePremiere Pro7.0Profile-dmglabWin

Mac:

Copy your .kys file from
/Users/[username]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Premiere Pro/6.0

and paste to
/Users/[username]/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/7.0/Profile-dmglab/Mac

Bob, in ame cs 6 highlight the user presets folder at the very top
then just above and to the right you see a folder with
an arrow point right.

click that and all your user defined encode
settings will export.

then launch AME CC and use the one to the left
of the exporter to import them. I have found
some of my imports fail, the ones I used for
DVD and Blu-Ray encoding, but most import fine.

back on topic, on mountain lion the user library
is invisible.

to make it visible so you can copy your keyboard shortcuts
launch terminal:

run this

sudo chflags nohidden ~/Library

The Premiere Pro CC 2014 settled in Portuguese and, as I am accustomed to using the program in English, I changed the language from Portuguese to English by changing the files pt_BR to en_US. The problem is that with this change, I lost all keyboard shortcuts. What should I do to recover them?

I can’t find my Premiere Pro CS6 keyboard layout ANYWHERE. I’m on a Mac and I think I’ve entered every conceivable place it could be and can’t find it.

I just have a kys file from another computer that I would like to add to a new one.

Can anybody help? I’m kind of lost here.

Adam, do a Finder search of .kys — that will display all the Premiere keyboard layout saves on your Mac.
