Premiere PRO CC Audio out of sync
Posted by Pavel Kuklin on July 13, 2017 at 11:12 pmHi
I will be short, and hopefully I will be able to fix it:
Basically, a video shot by iphone 6 plus
Imported into Premiere. Project matches 30 frames in and out…
The audio starts out of sync from the beginning but by the end of clip you really can see it.
I am about to pull the hair out. ☹
What could be the problem??????
Thanks.

July 14, 2017 at 2:53 amTranscode it to DNxHD or another Codec with Handbrake, Resolve or some other piece of software first.
Your not the first person to have Audio Sync issues with iPhone Footage.

Take a moment to place a value on them and then maybe add two more.

I have media encoder but
I cannot seem to find that codec there…
Would you please elaborate on this. I am not that familiar with video production – it is rather a hobby.
thx 🙂

July 14, 2017 at 2:05 pmPhone footage has variable framerate whtch Premiere cannot handle.
You cannot use AME it does not correct the framerate.
Convert with https://handbrake.fr/ to constant framerate.

July 15, 2017 at 1:25 amThank you, guys!
I got the thing, I tried to convert, but i did not see many formats to choose from …
I selected 29.97 and set frame rate to Constant instead of variable.
as far as audio, I tried all kinds of combinations. – no sound at all or no sound inside premiere.
What have I done wrong?
thx 🙂

January 11, 2019 at 5:26 amEventhough the frame rate matches up or shows that it matches up it does not … I ran into the same issue … the fix is below with a video tutorial … I have Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 but I have tested the fix on CC as well.
