    Hi guys,

I have Adobe Premiere CC 2014 with the latest updates, and just recently I’ve been having an issue with playback. When I have playback paused, the preview monitor has a paused shot, and it looks fine. However, as soon as i start to playback, the monitor goes black. Audio, and seemingly everything else seems to work fine.

I’ve tried reinstalling, opening new timelines, using video from a different camera/codec, deleting cache files, all to no avail.

    Any suggestions would be great!

    Hi Finn,

Same problem here. The only way I can “solve” the problem is to turn off Mercury GPU engine (CUDA) playback.

As I can remember NVIDA came with an update a few days ago? Perhaps this is the issue. The GPU on the computer that I use is a GTX 750.

    /Jacob

    Hi Finn,
Are you using any Lumetri effects?

    Thanks,
    Kevin

Yes i am using “SL Clean Punch NDR (Universal) Lumetri effect.
I have tried changing my video renderer from Nvidia Cuda to software only, works for a few minutes then black screen again.

    Cheers,
    Billy

I had a problem where I would press play and nothing would happen at all… the solution to that was a weird one, I had to change my audio device settings. Seems nonsensical, but worth a try. Also, if I have Logic running or an external mic plugged in, that would give it problems. Good luck!
