premiere pro and blurry playback
I am trying to put videos from screenflow into premiere, but when I put them in the timeline they’re really blurry, even after rendering and scaling to framesize or w/e. The thing is, when its NOT in my timeline, it’s perfectly clear. I don’t want to work with a blurry video because this is an important project for school and I want it to be clear. Any idea on what I can do to fix this? the video preferences I’m using are the default, I never had this problem with video clips until now. Any ideas?
I also add a .PSD file and it’s also not as clear as the original, so it’s .mov files , .psd files , .avi and mp4 files

You say that you’re scaling these movies. By how much? Scaling loses quality, no matter what software is used.
Also, what version of Premiere Pro? If CS5 or later, are you using the CUDA processing (Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration)? The scaling is much better if you do.

I just scaled to frame size, once each.. so that they fit in the videos because otherwise they’re like super zoomed in. I think I may have found the problem, the files say they’re “3300 x 3300”.. so I used the presets with the largest H & W , but if theres another solution then i’d take that also. I’m using CS5, how do I do the other render you’re talking about? I just hit enter and it renders.

To use CUDA processing, choose Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration in the Renderer section of the Project Settings dialog box.

It’s sounds like there are a couple of speedbumps in what you’ve put together.
First, what are you outputting? An h.264 file? To go where? Knowing this is huge.
Screenflow gets the best quality at 1280×720 @ 23.976 fps (unless you’re doing something that specifically dictates a higher framerate/framesize.)
And then the idea is to match it exactly in Premiere Pro.
