Hi there I’m a FCP 7 convert, I just made the switch to premiere 5.5, mac pro 8gb ram 2×2.4 quad core. OS is 10.6 I xmled my fcp to premiere no problem. everything transferred fine, but now that i try to play it back is just stalls after a second or so . I did some digging around and i found that I could delete the com.apple.audio.AggregateDevices.plist file, but it does not show up on my computer, I got our I.T guys to log into the computer on the administrator account, and not there either. I also found a solution to change the audio playback from our Kona card to system input/output
    but I get this error:

    /Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/ring064/shared/adobe/MediaCore/MediaLayer/AudioSupport/Make/Mac/../../Src/Mac/CireAudioHost.cpp-560

Any other thoughts? There is no money in our budget to upgrade to CS 6 or my OS

Do you have a some sort of “stop playback if you get dropped frames”-option on with your I/O. I had a similar thing with our Blackmagic I/O.

As far as I know it doesn’t. Although, as soon as click on the control panel for it, it crashes. So it could be causing a problem. I think I will spend today reinstalling.
