I have been using Premiere Pro 2.0 within Windows XP for years. I have frequently used still photographs within video productions. I now am doing the same thing, that is using photographic stills, but now they are only a portion of the original photograph and are greatly enlarged to show only part of the picture. I have not changed any settings. The area is about 30% of the original, exactly in the middle of the photograph. Any ideas?

Have you un-clicked “scale to frame size” in your project preferences?

Alan has the answer, but to expand on that, checking Scale to Frame doesn’t help images already imported – you would either need to re-import them after enabling Scale to Frame, or on a clip by clip basis, just right-click on the timeline to enable Scale to Frame.
