I am shooting green screen footage and I have the production suite. I have over an hour of different takes. I have all my usable takes trimmed out in subclips in PPro2. The KEYER in PPro 2 SUCKS!!!!!! I can get a ok key, but the edges are bad. How do I soften the edges with out loosing my image? I am using the chroma key filter.

What are all the good option for a keyer plug-in for PPro2?

On the other hand, when I take the footage into AE7pro keys everything out GREAT!!! But the process is slow b/c I cannot get good play back. I always have to preview render over and over. I know ae is different from PPro2 when it comes to playback.

    Here is the question.

Do I have to key in AE then render with alpha. Then take the rendered file and place it in PPro2 for realtime playback? It just seems like a long process. Going from PPro to AE then back to PPro2.

    One more question.
how do I take subclips and make them independant clips? Do I always have to render them out. I have FCP5 and it is very easy to do this. I cannot figure out how to do it in Ppro2.

Feel free to share your green screen workflows!!!

Yes, you really want to key out the footage in After Effects. I do this before I make subclips because it is just easier. Then I export using Quicktime Animation. The Pro version of After Effects uses Keylight. Very nice, And the CS3 apps come with Adobe Ultra, what used to be Serious Magic.
