Premiere or After Effects?
Hey guys,
I’m working on a music video and as I’m making my cuts, I’m trying to think about how I want the video to look in the end. I already know a few effects that I want to do (once I finish and colour correct) but I don’t know if they should be done in Premiere or After Effects, or if I can do them at all. Here are my first two ideas for my sequences:
Sequence one:
A short clip where a girl blinks up and stares at the camera. Her eyes don’t really ‘pop’ the way I want them to, even with basic colour balances to warm her up. Is there a way to move in close and really play with the eyes? Premiere or AE?Sequence two:
I saw a really cool smoke effect for text through AE. I wish to apply this to a shot of my girl. It’s a fairly still shot that would have dropped opacity. I want her to “disappear like smoke’ or at least make a feeble attempt to. This will be paired with another clip at 100 opacity and will only need an effect of her….puffing away like smoke…like a dream. I’m guessing AE….but is this even possible?
