Premiere Offline Photoshop Layers
I encountered a technical problem while using a Premiere project containing Photoshop layers.
I was relinking media in a Premiere project, but certain Photoshop files returned a “generic error” when I tried relinking them.
Then, some other Photoshop files would always need to be relinked when I restarted the Premiere project. Certain Photoshop layers within that file’s sequence would then appear offline in the premiere project, even though they were in fact connected to the Photoshop file. I could use the “Edit in Photoshop option to open the project in Photoshop.
When I double clicked on one of these files, I got the edit offline option box. When I clicked ok in that box, a “Premiere Debug Event” box told me that “Premiere Pro has Encountered a Serious error [..\..\Src\Media\Media.cpp-1780”. When I clicked continue, Premiere gave me another box, saying “Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Pro to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project. A red box also appeared which said “An Input contract violation has occurred!”
The identical Premiere project I was editing last week does not have this problem.
