December 16, 2022 at 2:31 pmHello everybody,
I am trying to edit a short film shot with Panasonic Varicam 35. I made DNxHD 36 Proxies of the original footage, but unfortunately during playback I get some annoying vertical lines that won’t go away. I tried making H.264 proxies, but still the same, then I imported the original footage, nothing changed. For the record I have edited shorts and features before and never had this problem, my computer is a AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core 3,79 GHz
You can see it in this recording of the playback:

It’s small, but would anyone know how to fix it?

Have you tried to play the original files outside of Premiere Pro, maybe even on another device?
The other thing that I would check, is frame rate settings.

December 16, 2022 at 5:08 pmHi Mads,
outside of premiere it plays just fine.
I have also checked the frame rate of the original footage and of the transcoede footage and of the project and it’s all 25 fps so no problem there.

December 19, 2022 at 1:28 pmHey Stamos,
Sorry, I think that this is one for Adobe to sort out.
All I can add, is that recently I’ve had problems inside Premiere Pro with MXF files of Sony FX6 & FX3 cameras. Where either the transcribe, or the render effect options would work.
It gave some “funny” error messages…Hope that you get it sorted.
One suggestion to consider, which I found when it didn’t want to render effects in timeline, Premiere was happy enough to export a video file. Before getting in too deep, maybe you should do a check export of an edited sequence, at full resolution?
