Premiere handling of larger files
I have two basic (I think) questions that I hope have easy answers. I have CS3 and I have problems with larger files. Now, I’m talking a typical 750 mb avi movie file, nothing huge or major. Couple of problems I don’t know how to fix.
First, I pull in a movie, immediately clip out 90% of it so I can work with the remaining 10%. Even though that’s all I do, now the 10% that remains is about a minute out of sync. The file was pulled in whole, linked the whole time and yet, is oos just from clipping it. Why and can it be stopped?
Second, I edit the small clip and export into an avi…simple avi to avi..so why is the small clip twice the size of the original avi movie?
I’m sorry if these are dumb questions, but I’m stumped.

What kind of avi is the original one?
Run it through GSpot and post a screenshot if you please.
