Premiere freezing on startup
It’s not getting past the loading screen. Running latest version of Mavericks, latest CC 2014. I’ve deleted the Premiere prefs and Finder prefs, but it’s still having trouble loading. Reset PRAM, NVRAM, file system check.
When Activity Monitor is open, the CPU monitors show that only a single core is maxing out when it starts to freeze, and it stays that way. I can’t force quit Premiere.
Any ideas? Mac Pro 2013.
•edit – I’m able to launch Premiere in Safe Mode. It’s not usable with my project though–when I load it up the timeline thumbnails load, but neither the Viewer or Canvas show the footage. So how do I fix it in normal mode?

I also tried removing plugins from the Adobe folder, uninstalling and reinstalling CC 2014 with no luck. Premiere CS6 also exhibits the same behavior.

Just fixed it with a dirty OS reinstall.

For the future, you might use this instead or at least have it in your troubleshooting toolbox: Adobe Cleaner Tool
