I have two machines at a college. One with Canopus DVStorm2 and the other Canopus Edius.

I have downloaded a trial version of Premiere elements 4, but when I try and capture, the capture devices are not found. I have been though the settings and it still does not work. Do I need additional drivers to capture onto elements (if so, where do I get them. I have tried Adobe and the Canopus website and neither have what I need), or will they just not work.

    Any help would be appreciated.

How do I do this? When I try and change or select the capture device Premiere claims it is offline… I am trying to capture directly from a Mini DV camera via firewire / DV.

With the cam connected and powered – Under File/Capture, click the Settings tab and click the Options button under Device Control. See if your cam is available. If not, try clicking the ‘Go online…’ button.

Is there any way you can try the cam on a system that you know to be in proper order – It’s possible the cam’s firewire might be dead?? Do you have another firewire device you can test on your system, to see if it has any issues??
