Be careful when you install Premiere CS5.5 and Matrox Drivers for an MX02 box. The latest Matrox drivers MTXUTILS_551.exe does not work with Premiere CS5.50…it requires Premiere CS5.51. 5.51 is an update you have to manually install from the Adobe web page, it is not found when you do the update from the program.

In my case when I loaded the Matrox drivers before I did the upgrade Adobe Premiere would not fully load. It would begin the loading process and then just disappear.

Kudos to the Matrox support people who were very helpful in solving this problem for me.

I am considering an MXO2 setup for my Mac and PP. In searching their products, I’ve heard some mixed opinions. I was wondering if you could share your experience with the MX02?

Specifically, how does it work for monitoring your video?
Are you required to use a Matrox setting in your sequences?
Or will preview work with any standard Adobe setting?
Does the preview work with the Source monitor or only Preview?
How well does the color calibration feature work?

    Any stability issues?

    Other comments?

    Thanks.
