Premiere CS5 transcription
Posted by Wendell Davis on November 1, 2010 at 2:48 pmI understood in CS4 that there is a way of transcribing footage automatically. Richard Harrington even does a demo of it. I can’t find it in CS5. Is it gone?
Thanks

November 1, 2010 at 2:58 pmWell I finally found it. It is under the Metada section. Let’s see how well it works..IE: how accurate.
Thanks

Since we are on that subject, do you know if there is an easy way turn off transcription markers in After Effects without removing them all?

You can prevent temporal XMP metadata from being converted to layer markers by turning off the Create Layer Markers From Footage XMP Metadata preference in the Media & Disk Cache preferences category.

November 2, 2010 at 4:33 pmThanks guys – the transcription is rough but better than nothing. What is the best way to watch the video and read the transcript at the same time to make corrections. Sorry I’m new to Premiere – used Photoshop forever but not Premiere.
