I’m mounting a non professional film (about one and a half hours with 4 sequences) with Vista 64 b., Adobe Creative suite 4, AVCHD 1080i 25, on a dual quad core Xeon E 5430 and DDR 2 667 Hz 4×2 Gb.
No problem with mounting and rendering the first hour but then, with no apparent reason, i coul go on with transitions and effects, but the program broke every time I tried to render the mounted clips.
Is there any hidden command to solve the problem?
Should I ignore the rendering will the transcoding work?
Thanks to everybody which might help

You need to apply the latest updates to CS4.

    Cheers

    dear Eddie
    Just to keep you posted
Updated again Premiere and tried some of the tips you suggested: nothing doing
    Finally I verified the file system (which actually doesn’t work wery well);
-too many Program versions were saved
-the same prevew and rendering folders and files were repeated up to five times, at various levels, and the System was unhable to mantain control on rendering.
So I deleted all those prevew and rendering folders and files and copied in one Progect version all the related files of the other versions and then cancelled them.
Now (I say it in a low voice)the problem seems to be solved
    Thanks for your help

    Hi
I’m having a problem with rendering in Adobe Premiere CS 4.0

The image AND text/cg seem to be sharp without rendering (with the red bar)
but if exporting without rendering, the image will loosen, sharpness is almost lost competely.

The problem is that, when I render, on the monitor of premiere project it self, you can easly see pixilated results. (both for text and image, sharpness is lost totally) tried to export but same problem.

I’ve read some forums about this problem
and I tried to change optimize to MEMORY (from performance) but nothing changes.

I made sure that the formats and codecs are the same, and the files I’m using arent duplicated. I even formatted my system, using OS XP and Windows7 seperately, nothing changes, always the same problem.

    I’m working with

    DV-PAL 4:3 interlaced
    25:00 fps
    Frame size: 720h 576v (1.0940)
    Frame rate: 25.00 frames/second
Pixel Aspect Ratio: D1/DV PAL (1.0940)
    Fields: Lower Field First

    Audio Settings
    Sample rate: 48000 samples/second

I tried to change the field to lower/upper and even progresive but continouly the problem was the same through out.

Something I wish to add, when I move slightly the picture and it has sharp edges, after rendering, the sharpness is again lost completely.

Is there any solution for my problem please?
This problem happened in all of a sudden, I used to work out fine until once this problem occured wuthout adjusting any settings.

    Can someone help me please??

    Thanks
