Premiere CS4 Preview Files Association
Hello. I have been editing a film of mine in Premiere CS4, and I originally edited each scene in a different sequence for the sake of organization. I have added several effects to my footage such as color correction, and so, for real time playback I have rendered everything as preview files. I now want to combine all of my footage into a final sequence and play it back in real time. My problem is that whenever I move or copy my scenes from their individual sequences into my “Final” sequence, they are no longer associated with the rendered preview files. I have tried copying my timeline directly from one sequence to another, and have also tried dragging the sequence from the bin into the “Final” sequence. The copied footage displays a red bar. I then noticed that even if i copy a rendered clip and paste it directly next to itself in the same sequence, the identical pasted clip cannot be played back in real time while the original clip right next to it still can. So, in the end, my question is: Is there a way to duplicate a clip that I have already rendered for preview and play it back in real time, or must I render everything all over again. I apologize if I did not explain this very well, but any help would be greatly appreciated as I do not wish to wait hours for all of the footage to render again.

Preview files in nested sequences do not get copied to master sequence. You have to re-render.
